About Me

psychotherapist & counsellor
I am Nicky Stevens, a counsellor and psychotherapist. I currently work as a Wellbeing (Mental Health) advisor for Gloucestershire County Council. I trained at the University of South Wales on the PGDip Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy course. Prior to this, I worked in education. I have delivered training for local authorities and as part of my role within GCC, I deliver training on resilience and wellbeing workshops. As a trained ceramicist, I use this medium for my own self-care and reflection.

My Approach

The first time we meet, you will be able to start sharing your story and what brings you to therapy and how I can work alongside you to support you on your journey to empower you and to enable change. This will also be a chance for you to find out about what type of therapy I offer and if you feel it is what you are looking for. It is important to feel that there is a trusting, safe relationship between yourself and myself.
I understand what it can feel like to take this first step and will support you to engage in counselling whether it is the first time or returning to counselling and maybe trying a different approach, I will guide you through each step.
You can contact by mobile, call or text, or e-mail. I will normally respond within 24 – 48 hours within the working work. If I don’t answer straight away it may be that I’m working with someone. Please leave your name and number and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
